JOB TITLE: PROJECT COORDINATOR II Training and Technical Assistance
ETR is in need of an outstanding Project Coordinator! Are you interested in managing the daily operations for multiple projects related to ETR’s Sexual Reproductive Health and Training and Technical Assistance content areas?  Do you have experience with implementation of adolescent sexual health programs and curricula? This Temporary Project Coordinator position will be based in ETR’s Sacramento office.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Coordinator plans, coordinates, designs and delivers project activities in the Sexual Reproductive Health and Training and Technical Assistance content areas. Writes reports, assists in resource development related to Federal and State Teen Pregnancy Prevention Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Projects.  This role does not supervise staff. This position participates in departmental and agency duties in addition to:

ESSENTIAL (CORE) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may also be assigned)
  • Provides leadership in initiation and maintenance of project activities, oversees day-to-day operations of assigned projects and facilitates project meetings, as needed.
  • Works independently to coordinate, develop, design and deliver all project services, protocols and activities, including planning, logistics, production, and implementation.
  • Researches, conceptualizes, and develops new ideas for all major trainings, workshops and presentations related to the provision of project activities.
  • Maintains expertise in project focus area(s), including staying up-to-date in research, program literature, interventions and strategies.
  • Works with other staff and consultants in the development and delivery of project activities.
  • Contributes to the development and management of project budgets, including under-spending or over-spending. Understands how project costs fit into the larger budget.
  • As directed, independently writes progress reports or sections of progress reports.
  • Takes a leadership role in resource development efforts to sustain Statewide TTA project beyond current funding period.
  • Serves as project liaison, interacting collaboratively with clients, partners and other stakeholders, including up to 2-days per week on site with funder.
  • Assumes leadership in establishing positive department morale and cohesiveness.
  • Supports SOW activities and assumes lead role on key tasks assigned on Federal and State Teen Pregnancy Prevention Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Projects.
  • Supports ETR’s Project Lead on Training & TA Projects by developing and implementing tip sheets, webinars and e-updates as assigned and participates in planning calls with funder and other partners.
  • Works with State staff on the Statewide Maternal Child Adolescent Health (MCAH) Project to:
  • Provide technical assistance expertise on adolescent sexual and reproductive health training and implementation, health educator/facilitator training, and implementation of adolescent sexual health programs including evidence-based program models;
  • Provide specialized (on-site if needed) technical assistance to MCAH funded agencies; and
  • Assist with analysis of participant training evaluations and technical assistance logs as needed.
  • Uses science-based data visualization approaches for inclusion in reports and presentations for multiple audiences.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree, MPH or equivalent in related field with demonstrated experience and knowledge in Sexual Reproductive Health.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in providing training, technical assistance, and implementation of programs and curricula.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as Project Coordinator.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in effective funder/client relations including cultivating and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, group facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage project budgets.
  • Ability to provide initiative and independently manage a complex project with multiple tasks from conception to completion.
  • Ability to balance completion of designated project tasks, both short and long-term, with the performance of routine duties.
  • Ability to meet short deadlines, and willingness to work additional hours during deadline periods.
  • Ability to travel as assigned.
  • Valid California driver’s license, acceptable DMV record and proof of auto insurance required.
This grant supported position is funded at a part-time schedule of 75% - 80% FTE and will end on June 30, 2018. Extension of this temporary project position is contingent on receipt of additional grant funding.
